Kristen Radden, Head Goddess In Charge

Kristen Radden created GoddessBody® in 2007 to help women celebrate their curves and realize that fitness can be fun and feminine. A former bellydance instructor who holds certifications in group exercise and personal training, she began to create bellydance-based fitness classes in 2004. At this time, she immersed herself in the study of different types of dance (Polynesian, Latin, West African, Bhangra) and movement practices (tai chi, yoga, Nomadics, McCall Body Balance Method, and Fluid Yoga), and received additional certifications in Resist-A-Ball, Spencer Pilates and Turbo Kick.

After this extensive period of learning and teaching a variety of traditional group exercise classes, she came full circle back to bellydance and the realization that the bellydance movement vocabulary was key to helping women of all ages and sizes to reach their fitness goals. Kristen's diverse experience is the cornerstone of GoddessBody® fitness, a synthesis of world dance, curve sculpting, and movement meditation.

TaRessa Stovall, Master Instructor

TaRessa Stovall created WORK THAT BODY/BODY & SOUL, a dance-fitness program aimed at African-American and urban professional women, in the 1980s, after training with Jazzercise. In 2000, she began studying bellydance with several teachers until she discovered Kristen Radden, who helped her truly understand and appreciate  the  movements and philosophy. When Kristen created GoddessBody®, TaRessa was thrilled at the opportunity to dust off her old dance-fitness experience and marry it with bellydance and other forms of cultural dance that provide a fun, effective, body-friendly workout for women. TaRessa became certified in GoddessBody® Groove in summer 2007, and has been teaching that class format in Montclair, NJ, since September 2007.
